A pounding knock upon the door jolted the man from his slumber.
‘Who on earth would be awake at this hour?’ he thought groggily, as he glanced at the clock’s blurry digits. He sat up lazily and put on his thin-framed glasses; he
couldn’t see without them. The clock read 4:00 am.
The irritating pounding continued. “I’m coming!” he hollered, beyond
annoyed and sleep deprived, as he threw on his robe and rushed down the stairs, ready to rant at whoever pounded upon his door.
